Daria Bilodid has returned to the tatami as part of the Ukrainian national team and resumed her training cycle ahead of new competitions.

Return to the tatami and prospects

Ukraine’s most successful judoka – bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and a multiple world and European champion – last competed two years ago at the Paris Games 2024, where her performance did not go as planned.

After a pause, Daria decided to try herself in football. In April 2025, she made her debut for Metalist 1925 in the Ukrainian championship, coming on as a substitute. Previously, the athlete had been an ambassador for the club.

Her return to the training process allows her to rejoin the national team, opening the way to new starts on the world stage.
