Liverpool transfer news LIVE: Bradley Barcola 'bid', Yan Diomande agreement, Cody Gakpo 'offer'

Liverpool have made an opening bid for Bradley Barcola, according to teamTALK.

While PSG are said to be looking to sell the French winger for around £145million, the outlet claims the Reds have agreed personal terms with Barcola.

Liverpool’s opening bid for the player is said to be £90m up front, guaranteed, with a further £13m in easily achievable add-ons, taking the total package to £103m.

Rumours that Cody Gakpo could leave Liverpool have begun to swirl once again.

While the Reds are in need of numbers, with the club actively looking to add wingers to the squad, Turkish outlet Fanatik claims that Fenerbahce have "made an offer" for the Dutch star and confidently proclaimed he "will leave" Anfield this summer.

It continues that Gakpo is open to a move, having been linked with a switch to Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the window.

Liverpool will "do everything" to sign Bradley Barcola before the transfer window closes this summer. That's according to Sky Germany.

The report says talks between the two parties will get underway today, with an opening offer expected soon.

PSG are said to want around £140million for the winger. Barcola is said to be open to leaving PSG this summer, however, and personal terms aren't expected to pose a problem should Liverpool's bid be accepted.

According to The Athletic, Xabi Alonso's side are working on securing the midfielder from Brentford.

Brentford are said to be ready to grant Henderson a free transfer, with the 36-year-old holding a good relationship with his current club.

Italian outlet Tuttojuve has claimed Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Francisco Conceicao.

Conceicao has been a key player for Juve under Luciano Spalletti, but with the Serie A side needing to sell to buy, a sale could be considered for the right price.

The report claims the Reds believe the right winger could become a valuable member of their squad. Portugal international Conceicao is also believed to be open to moving to England.

Former Everton manager Sean Dyche says Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola will be bringing 'lower league football' to Anfield - but his approach will prove successful.

Iraola managed Bournemouth for three seasons prior to his move to Merseyside, and having lost 3-0 on his first meeting with the Blues in October 2023, he then beat Dyche's Everton three times before the former Burnley boss was sacked in January last year.

“Iraola basically plays lower league football, but at a high level," Dyche told The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, in partnership with Midnite.

"They turn you and turn you, and force you into submission. We ran all over them at Everton, when he was at Bournemouth. The next time we played them, they looked a different outfit.”

Andoni Iraola has called on Liverpool's senior players to help the team avoid repeating last season's mistakes. The Reds brought in a wave of new signings and struggled to adapt last term, leading Iraola to call on his players to show vulnerability to help them gel as a group.

"I feel that, having been here a lot, the people are very respectful with us," Iraola said. "They are very passionate. They need to feel and identify with what they see.

"Sometimes we need to show our weakness because sometimes we live in our bubble and protect ourselves a little bit. We pretend to show that we don't care about what people say."

He added: "There has to be a process where we understand that it isn't going to be perfect, we are going to go through ups and downs, but if we do it together and everyone assumes we have strengths, we have weaknesses, but the aim of everyone is to arrive there."

Bradley Barcola has signalled his intention to leave PSG by no longer being in talks over a new contract. The 23-year-old has two years remaining on his deal and has attracted interest from Liverpool.

French publication RMC Sport reports that Barcola "will not extend his contract" and no further discussions are planned. As a result, the forward is "no longer considered untouchable", which could boost the Reds' hopes of completing a deal.

The French club are claimed to be asking for around £145million for the France international.
