After Saturday's opener — the Tigers and Saints at the MCG — Brisbane Lions host Sydney at The Gabba in the twilight game.

The Lions will look to keep their hold on a top four spot / take advantage of Collingwood's slip-up to take a top-two position and the Swans seek to deliver a blow to the team that beat them in last year's grand final.

Tonight, Gold Coast Suns travel to Melbourne to take on Carlton as they try to close in on an inaugural finals series, and then in the late game (starting 8:10pm AEST), the battle of the wharves takes place at Adelaide Oval, as the Dockers face Port Adelaide.
