Harley Reid has recommitted to the West Coast Eagles until the end of 2028!

Harley Reid’s future is in blue and gold.

The West Coast Eagles are thrilled to announce the dynamic, explosive and must-watch midfielder has recommitted to the Club by signing a two-year contract extension until the end of 2028.

“I’m incredibly excited to sign on with this great Club,” Reid said.

“Since the day I arrived in Perth the West Coast Eagles members and fans have been so supportive of me and our team, and the future with our young squad is super exciting.

“Playing at Optus Stadium in front of our fans is an unbelievable experience and I love representing the Club.

“The support from our coaches and my teammates has been amazing over the last two years, and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my game and helping the team climb back up the ladder.

“I can’t wait for the 2026 season and beyond to see what we can achieve together.”

After two seasons in the west, Reid has become one of the League’s brightest emerging stars and a leader among the Eagles’ next generation.

The 2023 No.1 draft pick took the competition by storm in his debut season, claiming the AFLPA Best First Year Player award and kicking the Goal of the Year.

He stepped up and led the Eagles’ midfield this year, averaging 18.8 disposals, 3.9 clearances and kicking 14 goals in 19 games before an ankle injury ended the 20-year-old fan favourite’s season early.

Only 39 games into a blockbuster start to his career, the Tongala product is scratching the surface of his prodigious talent.

Matt Clarke, West Coast’s Head of List Management and Recruiting, was delighted Reid has signed on to remain part of the Eagles’ promising young core group.

“We are thrilled Harley has re-signed with the club until the end of 2028. It is a fantastic commitment to the build that we are undertaking both on and off the field,” Clarke said.

“Harley is a very important part of our future and has always displayed a great connection to our football club throughout the process.

“He embodies everything we want in a West Coast Eagle - skill, determination and a fierce competitive spirit.

“The future with Harley and his family on board with the West Coast Eagles is something that we feel will be very special.”

Reid’s signature follows a raft of recent re-signings for West Coast’s next generation, including Jobe Shanahan, Bo Allan, Tyrell Dewar (all until end of 2028), Tom Gross, Lucca Grego, Hamish Davis, Sandy Brock (all 2027) and Rhett Bazzo (2026).
