Rohit Sharma score today: How much did India star score against England in 3rd ODI at Lord's

Rohit Sharma will take the field once again for India as the team heads into the series-deciding third ODI against England on Sunday at Lord's in London.

His last outing in Cardiff on Thursday ended in disappointment, as he walked back after a slow 26 off 47 balls. And his appearance in London might be his last.

According to a report in The Indian Express, the selection panel has already made peace with the idea of not keeping him as the automatic first-choice opener once this England tour wraps up.

Earlier reports had already suggested that both the coaching staff and selectors were leaning toward giving Yashasvi Jaiswal a longer run to prepare him for the 2027 World Cup in South Africa, with Rohit's continued place tied closely to how he performed across this series.

Even so, the management ultimately chose to stick with him a little longer, hoping he would rediscover his rhythm at the crease.

At Edgbaston, Rohit fell early for 11 off 21 balls, dismissed by Sam Curran after starting in his usual attacking fashion, only for the England pacer to get the better of him. In Cardiff, he looked more settled, building a brisk fifty-run stand with Virat Kohli following Shubman Gill's early dismissal, but once again couldn't turn his start into a substantial score.
