NZ vs ENG 1st ODI Match Today Live Streaming: New Zealand host England in the first ODI in Mount Maunganui on Sunday. It is the first of three matches that will be played in the series and the second leg of England’s white-ball tour of New Zealand. England had won the preceding three-match T20I series 1-0, with the first and third matches being washed out. The headline for New Zealand is their former captain and talisman Kane Williamson is returning to the side with the intention of staying in contention for the 2027 World Cup.The 35-year-old has not played for New Zealand in any format since they lost the Champions Trophy final to India in March and NZC said he had been recovering from a “minor medical issue” in the past month which kept him out of the ongoing T20 series. Williamson’s fellow Big 4 member Joe Root will also be playing in the series, as will the rest of latter’s teammates who are expected to play a role in the Ashes, which comes directly after this series. Sam Curran is also back in the squad with a chance to cement his place in the team as an allrounder. Jofra Archer is fit but won’t be available for the first ODI.
