For the second straight year, Australian Talia Gibson is in the second round as a wildcard.Last year she was thumped 6-1, 6-0 by 11th seed Paula Badosa in the corresponding match, so we're hoping today's battle with 23rd seed Diana Shnaider goes a little more smoothly for the 21-year-old.Gibson and Shnaider are first up on Kia Arena from 11am AEDT:We're officially into the second round of the singles at Melbourne Park as we approach the halfway mark of week one.Today is a massive day with six Australians putting their singles hopes on the line again including two, Alex de Minaur and Priscilla Hon, hitting centre court tonight.There's a lot of tennis to go under the bridge (over the net?) before then so let's not mess around and get straight into it!
