How many tickets will be available and how much will they cost?The random draw system is intended to manage demand and make the ticketing process as fair as possible, while prices have been set to welcome all types of fans, with accessibility a cornerstone of the programme.In total, around 14 million tickets will be available for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games combined, with sales taking place in several phases and the Paralympic ticket draw beginning in 2027.For the Olympics, more than one million tickets across all sports are priced at USD 28;Nearly half of the tickets for the Olympics are under USD 200; andMore than 75 per cent of tickets for the Olympics, including finals, will be under USD 400.Only roughly five per cent of all tickets are over USD 1,000.Tickets will be on sale across all sports in Drop 1, as well as for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, being held at the 2028 Stadium in the Inglewood Zone and the LA Memorial Coliseum in the Exposition Park Zone.How many tickets can you buy?Fans selected for time slots will have the opportunity to purchase up to 12 tickets for Olympic events, with a separate allocation of up to 12 tickets for football tournament matches. Ceremony sessions are limited to four tickets per account.Within their 48-hour window, buyers can return to the platform and complete more than one transaction, provided they remain within the limits. Once added to their cart, fans will have 30 minutes to complete their purchases.In recognition of Visa's long-standing partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Visa is the Official Way to Pay.Further ticket draws will take place later this year, with fans who were not selected in this round automatically included. Ticket sales for the Paralympic Games are due to begin in 2027.What happens in this first sales phase?Those selected for Drop 1 received a 48-hour window to access the ticketing platform, with purchase slots opening on a rolling basis between 9 and 19 April.Within their assigned window, fans can access the platform via a personalised link and complete their purchases.Fans who were not selected in this round or do not reach their ticket maximum will be automatically entered into future draws, which will take place ahead of the next ticket releases.The public sales phase follows a dedicated presale held between 2 and 6 April for residents in and around the host regions of Los Angeles and Oklahoma City. Fans in designated counties across Southern California and Oklahoma were given early access through the same draw system, with time slots allocated in advance.Last year the LA28 Organising Committee also launched a fundraising effort to invite local sports teams, philanthropists and partners to fund ticket donations that will go directly to local community organisations for them to distribute within their communities. National Football League team the Los Angeles Rams were the first to join the programme with a donation of USD 5 million."The success of the Locals Presale speaks for itself: hundreds of thousands of USD 28 tickets – the lowest priced Olympic tickets in modern history – were sold to LA and OKC locals,” said Reynold Hoover, Chief Executive Officer of LA28. “We’re thrilled by the level of interest and enthusiasm in tickets to the Games, and we're ready to welcome millions of others to Los Angeles in 2028."Can you buy hospitality tickets?In addition to individual tickets, curated ticket-inclusive hospitality packages are available through On Location, the official hospitality provider for LA28. These packages are sold separately and do not count towards the 12-ticket limit for standard purchases.How many sports can you see at the LA28 Olympic Games?The LA28 Olympic Games will feature 36 sports and 51 disciplines throughout the Los Angeles region and Oklahoma City, with football also taking place in cities across the US.The Olympic Opening Ceremony will take place on 14 July 2028, and the Closing Ceremony on 30 July 2028.
