Manchester City were made favourites for the title very recently and everything looked good for them to break Arsenal hearts.

But an almighty collapse on Monday night saw them batter Everton for 45 minutes and lead 1-0 – only to find themselves 3-1 down in the final ten minutes.

How crucial might the point be they earned with the final kick? Who knows. But that 3-3 draw could equally be incredibly damaging at a terrible time.

It’s out their hands now as they need to look out for the Gunners results but they also now HAVE to win their remaining games. Starting with Brentford at home in Saturday’s 5.30pm kick-off, where three points would move them two behind Arsenal and playing the same number of games.

The Bees are still in the hunt for a European finish, despite only just ending their winless run.

They’d not win any of their previous seven games in all competitions before thumping West Ham 3-0 in the league last time out and that’s got them in seventh spot and the final European place.

They had six draws in all comps before losing at Old Trafford and then that Hammers doing, so they haven’t lost many despite that wait for a win.
