Japan have announced their squad for the historic, one-off T20I against India, set to be played in Sano on September 22.Headlined by their regular captain Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming, their top run-getter in T20Is, the squad mirrors the one picked for the Asian Games 2026, set to be hosted by Japan in the city of Aichi-Nagoya.The 15-member unit includes 12 players from the list of national cricketers announced by the selection panel for the 2026 season in June, alongside three other players from the A squads: Tsuyoshi Takada, Jake Kusuda-Nairn and Alester Kadowaki-Fleming.Called the Suzuki Cup, the match will be played at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Tochigi Prefecture and will act as a precursor to cricket at the Asian Games, to be held between September 24 and October 3. India, the current T20 World Cup champions, have named a full-strength squad for the Asian Games, led by Shreyas Iyer.Cricbuzz understands that the Indian team will leave for Sano on September 19, and will have a practice session the following day.
