RCB great Virat Kohli added another feature to his illustrious career during the IPL 2025 final between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Virat Kohli has been the face of IPL since the inception of the league, and boasts of a plethora of records, however, an elusive IPL trophy has stayed away from him.

Meanwhile, as Kohli came out to bat in the final after Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to bat, he went to break a massive record which was held by veteran Shikhar Dhawan.

Virat Kohli Creates History As soon as Virat Kohli scored his first boundary, he leapfrogged Dhawan in the list of most fours in the IPL. Kohli and Dhawan were tied at 768 fours, and the first boundary of Kohli helped him take the top position in the league. Dhawan achieved the feat in 221 innings while Kohli reached the landmark in his 258th innings. David Warner sits at the third position with 663 fours in the IPL.
