Vaibhav Suryavanshi etched his name in the history books as he continued his golden run of form during the first Youth Test match between India and England, which took place from July 12 to 15 at the Kent Cricket Ground in Beckenham and ended in a draw.

The 14-year-old was the highest run-getter in the ODI series following a dream debut season in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the opening Test of the series, Suryavansh had a failure with the bat in the first innings as he was dismissed for 14 runs. However, he made a strong comeback in the second outing with a knock of 56 in just 44 balls. In the first innings, he also showed prowess with the ball as his left-arm spin produced two wickets.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi Creates History

Suryavanshi has become the first player in history to score a half-century and take a wicket in the same Youth Test match before turning 15. The previous youngest player to achieve the feat was Bangladesh's Mehidy Hasan Miraz (15 years, 167 days). Miraz was also the youngest to achieve it twice. Suresh Raina was previously the youngest to achieve the feat.
