Bangladesh Broadcast Ban Lifting for IPL 2026?

According to Aditya Raj Kaul of NDTV, there was an update on the state of watching IPL matches in Bangladesh.

“Bangladesh: The broadcast ban in Bangladesh over the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), set to begin today,” Aditya’s report began. “Could be lifted subject to application, confirmed information, and broadcast minister Zahir Uddin Swapan.”

This would be tremendous news for Bangladesh cricket fans. Cricket is the most popular sport in Bangladesh, with tens of millions watching it regularly. A ban on watching such a popular sport never made sense in the first place, making this move seem like a no-brainer.
