First half analysis

From a United point of view that is a fantastic half of football. They were 1-0 down and second best but from the moment Chido Obi levelled they have been comfortably the better side.

Obi struck again before Shea Lacey converted a penalty to put the visitors 3-1 up.

That scoreline looked ambitious when Floyd Samba fired City into an early lead and the Blues made all of the early running, spurning several clear chances with Sverre Nypan missing the best of them when racing through on goal only to side foot his effort wide.

Work to do for the home side with United now firm favourites to book their place in next week's final.

Both teams looking to play football, Reigan Heskey has impressed for City and Chido Obi has looked to get in behind a couple of times only to commit a foul.

City's U21s won at home against United in the semi-finals of the PL2 play-offs last year, so tonight is a repeat of that fixture. Last year's meeting between the two sides was tight, with Mubama breaking the deadlock in the second half before scoring again in added time.
