Sai Sudharsan has broken Chris Gayle's long-standing record for most runs after 50 IPL innings.

Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Sai Sudharsan has broken a long-standing record of Chris Gayle for most runs after 50 IPL innings. Sudharsan scored 57 off 41 balls against the Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, taking his IPL tally to 2178 runs in his 50th innings. Gayle is the second-best, with 2061 runs, with former PBKS batter Mitchell Marsh on third with 1933 runs on the milestone.

Gayle’s record stood for 13 years, made when Sudharsan was only 11 years old. Only recently, Sudharsan broke Gayle’s record for the fewest innings taken to score 2000 IPL runs. The Titans batter took 47, compared to Gayle’s 48, with Marsh closely behind at 52.
