Chelsea predicted XI vs Arsenal with six changes made and tough Cole Palmer decision considered

The predicted Chelsea line-up for this evening's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Arsenal with the Blues trailing 3-2 on aggregate going into tonight

Liam Rosenior's start to life as Chelsea head coach has been impressive - with the 41-year-old winning six of his seven matches in charge in all competitions.

His only defeat, however, came to this evening's opponents Arsenal. After narrowly being beaten 3-2 at Stamford Bridge last month, Rosenior and the Blues have the chance to rectify that in tonight's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at the Emirates Stadium.

The odds are stacked against Chelsea but Rosenior will have confidence in his group of players in north London. And, with all that being said, football.london takes a look at the starting XI Rosenior could opt with for this evening's clash with Arsenal:

Robert Sanchez

Sanchez is set to start against the Gunners later on this evening. The Spanish goalkeeper's only bad game in recent times came against Arsenal last month where he made a couple of mistakes at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea could welcome back Filip Jorgensen to the squad, if not the goalkeeper might be back for the trip to Wolves at the weekend.

Reece James

James was used from the bench in Saturday's win over West Ham United. We could see the Chelsea captain start this one from right-back with Malo Gusto potentially dropping to the bench in north London.

Wesley Fofana

It was no surprise to see Fofana rested at the weekend. Though Rosenior would perhaps have envisaged more of a rest for the Frenchman, who was brought on at half-time with Chelsea trailing by two goals. Fofana could return to the back four tonight.

Trevoh Chalobah

Benoit Badiashile was poor on Saturday and could drop down to the bench. Chalobah could partner Fofana as the Blues look to find a route back into the tie at the Emirates Stadium.

Marc Cucurella

Jorrel Hato was used at left-back from the start at the weekend but the Dutchman could drop out of the XI this evening. Cucurella was superb when he came on, alongside Fofana and Joao Pedro, at half-time and will surely return to the back four for this evening's cup tie.

Moises Caicedo

The Ecuadorian missed the first leg of this tie through suspension but he is eligible to take part tonight. Chelsea will be enormously boosted by welcoming Caicedo back into the midfield against the Premier League leaders.

Andrey Santos

Santos was an unused substitute during Chelsea's win over West Ham, so theoretically the Brazilian should be fresh and raring to go for this one.

Pedro Neto

Estevao Willian is a doubt for Chelsea after the winger returned home to Brazil for personal reasons last week. Neto could start on the right wing for the Blues as he looks to improve after some frustrating recent performances.

Enzo Fernandez

Cole Palmer played the full 90 minutes against the Hammers on Saturday and given his fitness problems this season, Rosenior could be tempted to make the decision to rest the 23-year-old. Fernandez could push up to the No.10 role as the Argentine looks to continue his fabulous recent form - including three goals in his last three matches for the Blues.

Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho probably doesn't deserve to start after his poor performance at the weekend, but Chelsea do not have too many options on the left wing with Jamie Gittens missing due to a hamstring injury. It is worth remembering, though, that Garnacho scored twice in the first leg, so that could come into Rosenior's thinking this evening.

Joao Pedro

Joao Pedro has been in superb form for Chelsea recently. In his last five appearances in all competitions, the Brazil international has scored five goals. The Blues will be hoping for more of the same from the former Brighton forward this evening.
