What did the first phase of ticket sales reveal? The first phase demonstrated both strong local engagement and global reach:Almost all tickets priced under USD 100 in drop 1 were sold during dedicated local sales windows in Los Angeles and Oklahoma City.Around half a million tickets priced at USD 28 were sold to these local communities.Tickets were purchased by fans in 85 countries and across all 50 US states and five territories.Top international demand came from the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico and Japan.Any interesting trends? There has been strong demand for women’s competitions, with women’s Olympic sessions recording 93% sell-through compared to 88% for men’s sessions in the first ticket drop. This reflects the broader ambition of LA28, which will mark a historic milestone as the first Olympic Games to allocate more athlete quota places to women than to men — reinforcing continued progress towards gender equality in sport. What can fans expect from the next ticket phase?Following strong demand in the first phase, the next ticket drop will give fans another opportunity to secure their place at the LA28 Games during the August sales window.Registration for the drop 2 ticket draw is open until 22 July 2026.Selected fans will be assigned a dedicated time slot to purchase tickets.Fans can purchase up to 12 Olympic event tickets per account.Additional football tickets are available outside the general allocation.A maximum of four tickets per ceremony applies within the overall limit.Registration is required once and remains valid for future sales phases.Fans who registered for the first phase and did not secure tickets, or who have not reached their allocation, will automatically remain eligible for upcoming draws. Can I still buy tickets right now?For those who can’t wait until August, in addition to individual tickets, curated ticket-inclusive hospitality packages are currently available through On Location, the official hospitality provider for LA28. These packages are sold separately and do not count towards the 12-ticket limit for standard purchases. In recognition of Visa's long-standing partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Visa is the Official Way to Pay.How many tickets are available for LA28 and how much will they cost?In total, around 14 million tickets will be available for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games combined, with sales taking place in several phases and the Paralympic ticket draw beginning in 2027.For the Olympics, more than one million tickets across all sports are priced at USD 28;Nearly half of the tickets for the Olympics are under USD 200; andMore than 75 per cent of tickets for the Olympics, including finals, will be under USD 400.Only roughly five per cent of all tickets are over USD 1,000.The LA28 Olympic Games will take place from 14 to 30 July 2028, followed by the Paralympic Games from 15 to 27 August 2028.
