The winner of this UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie will be guaranteed of at least UEFA Europa Conference League league phase football and it is a delicately poised tie after the two sides shared a goalless draw in the first-leg at Vid Djupumyrar in the Faroe Islands last week.

In the first qualifying round, Kauno produced a thrilling 4-3 aggregate victory against Kosovan champions Drita Gjilan earlier this month, while KI defeated UEFA competition debutants Atert-Bissen, of Luxembourg, with a couple of 2-1 victories.

The likelihood is for another low-scoring encounter and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see extra-time and penalties come into play in Lithuania on Wednesday evening.
