Mikel Arteta is braced to be without his captain Martin Odegaard when Arsenal return to Premier League action this weekend.

The Norwegian was forced to withdraw from international duty after injuring his knee in a 2-0 win over West Ham, extending the fitness issues which have plagued him this season.

But it is not all doom and gloom for Arsenal. Fans breathed a sigh of relief when Declan Rice started for England against Wales last week after he was withdrawn from the West Ham win with a back injury.

Ahead of Saturday’s trip to face Fulham, here’s all the latest Arsenal injury news and return dates...

Martin Odegaard

Odegaard has endured a stop-start season so far, thanks in part to a recurring shoulder injury.

But after returning against West Ham before the international break, he clashed knees with Crysencio Summerville and had to be substituted.

Odegaard withdrew from the Norway squad for their World Cup qualifier against Israel and friendly New Zealand, though he has stayed with the camp.

Speaking after the West Ham win, Mikel Arteta said of Odegaard’s injury: "He had a clash, knee to knee. Immediately, he was uncomfortable. He’s not positive about it. He has a brace on it. Hopefully it's not that bad.”

Noni Madueke

Noni Madueke made a bright start to life at the Emirates after his summer move from Chelsea, but found himself promptly sidelined with a knee injury.

He came off at half-time of a 1-1 draw with Manchester City last month, with Arteta confirming “he wasn’t well enough to continue.”

Madueke was not named in the England squad, though Thomas Tuchel did suggest that been called up in Bukayo Saka’s place if he was fit.

Potential return date: Early November

Piero Hincapie

Piero Hincapie has made just one substitute appearance for Arsenal since signing from Bayer Leverkusen.

He has been struggling with a groin problem but is closing in on a return.

Speaking before the West Ham win, Arteta confirmed: “He will be available after the international break. This game came too fast.”

Hincapie is yet to start for Arsenal but could return at Fulham this weekend.

Potential return date: October 18 vs Fulham (A)

Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz has made just one appearance for Arsenal this season after he underwent knee surgery in August.

Arteta said recently: “I think we’re taking it from weeks to months. But knowing Kai, I cannot give you any timescale because I know what he's going to try to do.

“So I think he's in a good moment. It was a very tough decision for him to go and have that procedure done. But I think it was necessary and it was the right decision from the medical team to persuade him to do that.”

Potential return date: Late 2025

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus completes the list of injured Arsenal strikers as he continues his recovery from a torn ACL.

He has returned to training on grass, but has not been named in Arsenal’s Champions League squad, implying he will not be ready until the new year.

Potential return date: Late 2025/early 2026
