Team USA’s no.6-ranked tennis star Amanda Anisimova appears set to feature in the 2026 French Open after a two-month absence from the WTA Tour circuit.

The 24-year-old was spotted practising on Court Philippe-Chatrier on Monday (18 May). She has missed the last three tournaments with a left wrist injury, and has yet to feature in this season’s clay-court swing.

Anisimova’s last match was at the Miami Open in March, where she was defeated 6-2, 6-2 in the round of 16 by Belinda Bencic.

A two-time Grand Slam finalist, Anisimova reached the semi-finals in Paris in 2019 and has also reached the fourth round twice, in 2022 and 2025.

The U.S. star is seeded sixth at Roland-Garros this year, with the first round of the women’s singles set to start on Sunday 24 May.
