Jaiswal dominated the day's play with a remarkable 193-run partnership for the second wicket alongside Sai Sudharsan, who contributed 87 runs. At stumps, Jaiswal was accompanied by captain Shubman Gill, who scored 20 runs. Sudharsan's dismissal was the only wicket to fall in the final session. The 23-year-old Jaiswal achieved his seventh Test century in his 26th match. His Test career began in 2023 with a debut score of 171 against West Indies. After reaching his milestone, Jaiswal celebrated with a heart gesture and blew kisses to acknowledge the crowd's appreciation. His aggressive batting was evident as he hit three boundaries against Jayden Seales in the first over after lunch to reach his fifty. Sudharsan reached his half-century with a boundary off Khary Pierre. He survived a dropped catch on 58 by Jomel Warrican before being trapped lbw by the same bowler. Jaiswal and Gill continued to build pressure on the West Indies attack with an unbroken 67-run partnership. The day began with a solid 58-run opening partnership between KL Rahul and Jaiswal. Rahul scored a quick 38 before being stumped by wicketkeeper Tevin Imlach off Warrican's bowling. Rahul's innings included consecutive boundaries against Seales, featuring a cover drive and a mid-on shot early in the game. Jaiswal's straight drive off Anderson Phillip after the first drinks break energized the home crowd. Left-arm spinner Pierre was introduced in the 15th over, maintaining good line and length. Rahul hit the first six of the match over long-on against Pierre but fell attempting another aggressive shot. India maintained their winning combination from the first Test where they secured an innings victory. West Indies, under Roston Chase 's leadership, are trying to avoid another Test series whitewash following their recent 3-0 loss to Australia at home.
