Corpay grows sports stable with ITF; BJK Cup and Franklin Templeton renew

Corpay, the global financial services company, has expanded its sports sponsorship portfolio through a deal with the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the sport’s world governing body.

Under the multi-year agreement, Corpay will serve as the official foreign exchange partner of both the ITF and the Davis Cup, the men’s national team competition.

Through the partnership, the ITF will be able to use Corpay Cross-Border’s solutions “to help mitigate foreign exchange exposure in its daily operations.”

The federation will also benefit from Corpay’s platform, which allows for global payment management from a single point of access.

Brad Loder, chief marketing officer of Corpay Cross-Border Solutions, said: “We’re confident that the ITF, its member associations, and commercial partners will benefit from our comprehensive cross-border payments and currency risk management solutions.

“Our deep experience in sports—especially tennis—positions us well to deliver meaningful value. We look forward to supporting the ITF and playing a role in the continued global growth of tennis.”

David Haggerty, ITF president, added: “Access to Corpay’s foreign exchange services will greatly benefit the ITF and our member nations. We also look forward to working alongside colleagues from Corpay on-site at Davis Cup events in 2025 and beyond to further promote the partnership.”

In recent months, Corpay has heavily focused on utilizing sports sponsorships, particularly in the soccer industry, as a means of growing the company’s brand.

In June, the firm struck a new commercial agreement Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid and renewed its partnership with English Premier League outfit West Ham United.

Major soccer teams such as English Premier League heavyweights Manchester City, Everton, second-tier side Watford, and Italian top-flight team AC Monza, are also sponsored by Corpay to promote its FX business, while the firm’s Fleetcor brand is partnered with US side Atlanta United.

North America's Major League Soccer also recently partnered with Corpay.

Outside of soccer, Corpay has partnerships with prominent organizations such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (MMA), World Triathlon, LIV Golf, SailGP, World Athletics, and World Aquatics.

Meanwhile, the Billie Jean King (BJK) Cup women’s tennis competition has renewed its tie-up with global investment management firm Franklin Templeton for the upcoming 2025 Finals.

The company will continue to serve as the exclusive investment management partner of the BJK Cup.

This marks Franklin Templeton’s third consecutive year as an official partner of the tournament as it makes its debut in China.

This year’s BJK Cup will be held in Shenzhen from September 16 to 21.

The commercial partners signed up for the tournament include title sponsor Gainbridge, and global partners, e.l.f. Beauty, 1xBet, Microsoft, and Mastercard.

Eight remaining nations will compete in a knockout format for the title of world champions. Teams include 2024 champions Italy, hosts China, Great Britain, Japan, Kazakhstan, Spain, Ukraine, and the United States.
