Australia has won the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in commanding style, defeating England by seven wickets in the final at Lord's.

After winning the toss and sending England into bat, Australia restricted the hosts to 4/150 from their 50 overs.

Opener Mooney, Australia's all-time leading scorer in this format, was magnificent again, powering to 64 off 49 balls before they breezed to their target on 3-153 with 17 balls to spare.

Mooney and Litchfield, who hit 48 off 35 balls including two glorious sixes, one which was switch-hit dazzlingly, put on exactly 100 for the second wicket, bringing up their century stand off 66 balls and effectively killing all English hope.

It ends a rare spell without a global trophy in either the 50-over or 20-over game for Australia, who demonstrated all their old mastery, bowling with great discipline, fielding with immense sharpness and batting with enterprise and vigour.

Once again, they were simply in another class to the hosts, whose record in seven white-ball World Cup finals is England 0 Australia 7. It was also the first time England had lost a home World Cup final.

This is Australia's seventh Women's T20 World Cup title out of the 10 that have been played.
