Chelsea boss on West Ham, injury news and Nicolas Jackson

Hello and welcome to football.london for live coverage of Enzo Maresca's pre-match press conference this morning.

Chelsea take on West Ham United on Friday evening as they kick off matchday two of the 2025/26 Premier League season. The Blues stuttered in their opening game of the campaign, with Crystal Palace frustrating Maresca's side in a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are on the road for the first time this season on Friday, but they won't have to go too far, with a trip to east London to take on the Hammers. Graham Potter, the former Chelsea head coach, now manages the Irons and will be desperate for a response from his players after they were humiliated 3-0 against newly-promoted Sunderland at the weekend.

Maresca will preview his side's trip to the London Stadium this morning and he is also likely to be asked about the ongoing transfer speculation surrounding some of his players, the latest on the fitness of Tosin Adarabioyo, and much, much more.
