The Storm are playing some lovely football now, Munster and Watson really making some nice moves through the middle.

Sua Fa'alogo held onto the ball as he crabbed across field, ball in one hand and always threatening.

He then passes the ball away after really running down a blind alley.

But the ball finds its way into the hands of Oryn Keeley who takes a step, and another, and another before bursting into the space behind the Sea Eagles line to score.

Nic Meaney scores the extras and it's 22-14!

53' Munster mashed!

Penalty to the Storm as Tolu Koula speeds off the line and mashes him in the ribs.

Munster wears the shot and then just pulls a cross-kick over his shoulder towards Moses Leo.

He goes down now though, holding those ribs, which were no doubt tickled there by the shoulder of Leo.

The penalty is given though as Koula was so offside he may as well have started next to Munster.

The kick is good and the Storm lead 16-14!

52' Fa'alogo grubbers - and Garrick fumbles!

Reuben Garrick is fuming at the touch judge over on the far side of the field as he felt he was impeded when he bent down to get the ball.

It was a grubber that looked a little under cooked from Sua Fa'alogo.

But it's worked out for the Storm, who have possession and a new set inside the Manly 10.

Argh, that's a shocker.

Lehi Hopoate inserts himself into the line and the Sea Eagles perhaps wish he hadn't, the fullback floating a pass over the top in the general direction of Jason Saab, but it's well over the top of him and out.

What a great chance for the Sea Eagles to get back in front.

49' Fa'alogo loses the ball!

A fairly regulation bomb is claimed by Sua Fa'alogo, but then he drops it cold as Tolu Koula chases him down!

The Sea Eagles have a great chance 10 metres out!

45' Manly handling error, followed by a Storm error, and penalty

Oh dear - that's a poor one from Jamal Fogarty, dropping the ball cold as he looked to guide the Sea Eagles out of their own half.

It wasn't an error that will cost the Sea Eagles much though, with Angus Hinchey losing the ball.

He is down and just struggling a little bit - a high-ish shot that Melbourne are talking about as something the referee should be looking at.

And he does - Corey Waddell puts his shoulder into the head of Hinchey and the Storm have a penalty.

Nick Meaney kicks the goal from 20 metres out on a ground he will call home next season, to level the scores.

It's 14-14.

Standard of refereeing is poor this year. The new guys are not experienced enough to handle the pace and pressure, which the experienced players can manipulate. I can see a problem with the introduction of new teams that requires more games to be managed. Let alone finding enough players to maintain the high playing standards that supporters like to see.

You fear that the standard will get worse before it gets better, that's for sure.

It's the big danger of rapid expansion.

The Storm were woeful in that first half

The Storm completed their sixth set of the match just moments after the half hour mark in that contest - from 13 sets.

They completed the next six to finish with 13 from 20 and a passable statistic heading into the sheds.

How the Storm managed to recover from such a pathetic handling performance once it started raining, I will never know.

What a strange half of football.

The Storm looked horrific for 30 minutes. Genuinely not worthy of a fifth-grade country team.

Then the rain started and, as if by magic, the Storm came alive!

Two tries in five minutes and the Sea Eagles' lead was cut to just two points heading into the break.

A staggering turnaround.

The Sea Eagles lose the ball through a Joey Walsh error and the Storm are up and about now.

But Sua Fa'alogo has got to go off for an HIA!

The independent doctor, who missed Garrick's wild smash, has correctly spotted that Fa'alogo was kneed in the head.

Fa'alogo is not happy about it but he has to go off.

37' Storm electric in the rain!

Oh my word!

The Storm have come alive! Just add water and they are a different team!

Two fluffed kicks result in broken field play and it almost comes off for them.

First Tryan Wishart gathers a blocked kick and races towards the 20, passing inside to Sua Fa'alongo who is tackled.

Then Cam Munster has a kick that cannons off the head gear of Trbojevic.

The broken field is like a candle to the moth-like Fa'alongo who darts through in a scatter gun away only to be smashed in the tackle for the turnover 10 metres out.

Sua Faalogo has attempted a couple of chip and chases in this half that have ended, badly.

That time it didn't.

Tyran Wishart was there racing through and he grabs the ball and flops on it to score.

The rain has started teeming down again all of a sudden.

The rain makes no difference to the kick in front of the posts though, and the Storm only trail 14-6 despite a horror half of football from this once-great side.

33' Reuben Garrick is lucky to be on the pitch

That's a shocker from Reuben Garrick.

He has flown out of the line and smashed into Joe Chan, who is absolutely livid and with good reason.

Garrick has tried to shoulder charge, collected Chan in the chin managed to flop himself onto the ground with sickening force.

The referee missing that is understandable, but we just saw a replay on Fox Sports, which makes you think the Bunker saw it too, as would the independent doctor.

I give up trying to guess what is called and what isn't.

KB said you'd see better skills down at your local park and you'd have to say that's being generous.
