Tyrell Malacia and Sam Mather could leave Manchester United after the British transfer deadline.

The summer transfer window closed for Premier League clubs on Monday evening, but the Turkish transfer window remains open until September 12. The window in Saudi Arabia closes on September 23.

Both leagues are options for Malacia, who is the only remaining 'bomb squad' member after exits for Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho this summer.

Since reporting to Carrrington in July, Malacia has been looking for a new club. The defender was in talks to join Spanish club Elche on a season-long loan, but the move collapsed before the transfer deadline.

Malacia was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia before Elche showed an interest in his signature.

The Dutchman was shipped out to PSV Eindhoven on loan in the January transfer window and made just six starts in all competitions. PSV declined to use their option to sign Malacia permanently.

There is still hope that Mather could secure a move to Turkey. The Manchester Evening News reported last week that the academy winger had attracted interest from Germany, Sweden and Turkey.

The 20-year-old's qualities are considered as an ideal fit for European football and it's hoped a permanent transfer will be arranged. However, Mather could leave in a loan deal, with an obligation to buy included.

United sources admitted loans were unlikely for Mather and Rhys Bennett in the final hours of the British window. A source recently said Bennett had his 'sights set high', but a loan spell away was not agreed.

It remains to be seen whether Andre Onana will leave after the arrival of Senne Lammens on deadline day. Onana has lost his first-choice status to Altay Bayindir and could further slip down the pecking order.

Sources close to Onana were adamant that the Cameroon international would stay throughout the summer, but Lammens' arrival and Ruben Amorim's selection at the start of the season could change plans.

Onana has been previously heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro-League.
