EMMA RADUCANU could suddenly retire from tennis due to injury, according to Andrew Castle. The iconic BBC presenter insists he wouldn’t be surprised if Raducanu, 23, rolled credits on her eight-year career “out of the blue”.AdvertisementThe Bromley star has been plagued by a raft of injuries since winning the US Open in 2021 and is currently dealing with a stress fracture in her lower right leg. That has forced the tennis star to withdraw from the competition she won five years ago as well as Wimbledon.Castle, 62, hopes Raducanu will continue playing and challenging for more titles. But the former British No1 is adamant any decision about her future solely depends on her and should be respected by everyone.Castle told Betway: “Well, put it this way. She doesn’t have an obligation to anybody but herself and her family. That’s it. There is nothing else.“All the sponsors and everybody else, they’re not the ones whose career this is. It’s her choice, but I mean, I hope she carries on.”Castle hinted Raducanu could reach new heights if she managed to stay injury-free for “three or four years”.AdvertisementCASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITSThe BBC legend believes the World No49 still has a lot left to give on the court.Castle added: “I would love to see her have three or four years of freedom away from injury, and just to play tennis.
