Liverpool make fresh Bradley Barcola transfer attempt with PSG star 'open to move'

Bradley Barcola is a crucial part of France's World Cup squad but speculation over his future at club level is rife, with Liverpool keen to sign the Paris Saint-Germain forward

Liverpool have made a fresh move for Bradley Barcola, who's open to leaving Paris Saint-Germain. Barcola, 23, is the subject of interest from the Reds as they plot to refresh their attack.

The departure of Mo Salah and a long-term injury to Hugo Ekitike have left vacancies in Liverpool's forward line ahead of the 2026-27 season. Cody Gakpo has also been linked with an exit following the sacking of Arne Slot, who's been replaced by Andoni Iraola.

Liverpool have already signed Victor Munoz in a £34million deal, and made a staggering £86m bid for fellow winger Yan Diomande which was swiftly rejected by RB Leipzig. But Barcola is also on their shopping list.

French outlet Le10 Sport claim that Liverpool have made a new attempt to sign the France international, who scored in his country's World Cup opener last week. Barcola is said to be tempted by a move to Anfield, as he's impressed with Liverpool's project and excited about the idea of playing in the Premier League.

As for PSG, they're willing to sanction the 23-year-old's departure if he asks to leave. It's added that the European champions have identified a number of potential replacements.

Arsenal have also been linked with Barcola, who joined PSG from Lyon three years ago in a deal worth up to £43m. Luis Enrique's side would no-doubt want to make a profit on the forward, who's scored 39 goals and provided 35 assists in 152 games for PSG.

Barcola opened his account at the World Cup late in France's 3-1 victory over Senegal, having only been on the pitch for two minutes. He then started Monday's rain-soaked 3-0 win against Iraq.

Barcola has been tight-lipped on his future, but Enrique has made it clear that he wants to keep him. "I have no doubt he'll remain our player," the PSG manager said last season.

"We like the fact that our players are interesting to other clubs. But he's one of those young players we've been banking on. I expect him to play here for many more years."
