Manchester United wore their new third strip against Ipswich Town – a kit inspired by Greater Manchester's youth culture, specifically Salford Lads and Girls Club.

But the Reds failed to display the Premier League badge on both sleeves against Hull City, which is a necessary measure if the team does not have a sleeve sponsor.

The partnership with DXC Technology expired in the summer, leaving Manchester United without a sleeve sponsor against Hull City, but Daily Mail Sport reports that they are seeking a new one.

They also claim that the Premier League issued a "polite reminder" to United to remind them of the rule.

Manchester United face Ipswich Town this weekend and are expected to rectify the issue while wearing their home strip.

Roundtable understands that Amad could be out for up to six weeks after initial scans took place when the Ivorian missed the trip to Hull City last weekend.

However, Manchester United could see Mason Mount return to action after he took part in team training on Wednesday. He could replace Joshua Zirkzee in the matchday squad, after the Dutchman remained on the bench at the MKM Stadium with United chasing a goal.

Zirkzee has received interest from Italian sides this summer, but he remains at Old Trafford as the end of the window draws closer.

Manchester United have until September 1 to sell Zirkzee, although some European transfer windows remain open after the Premier League window closes.

As well as Zirkzee, the Red Devils could also be looking to move on Harry Amass and Toby Collyer, who both featured in pre-season, but have been linked with permanent moves away from Old Trafford.

Amass recently featured for United's Under-21s side, but Collyer has not played competitive football this season.
